Director's Note
In a summer day of year 2003, I went to visit my friend. I could see an Elementary School playground from his balcony. The kids were chasing each other at the playground. I was attracted by their energy. The New Cultural revolution has passed for almost a hundred year. And to what degree can a certain traditional culture concept of value affect a country’s growth and change? I have questioned myself many times that what makes the existence of chaos and leanness in our real life. I try to find out the cause through this film. If the people of a country are not treated by the independent and liberal spirit, then the country will need more time and cost to achieve modernization and this has been the reality hundred years ago in China.
