Director's Profile |
Murali NAIR worked extensively in Bombay motion picture industry before making the first short film in 1993. He made the first feature film "Marana Simhasanam" (1999) and the film won the Camera D’or award at Cannes Film Festival. His second feature "Pattiyude Divasam" (2001) and third film "Arimpara" (2003) were both screened as an official selection of Cannes Film Festival.

- Synopsis
-
"Virgin Goat" is set in present day of south India. It is a dark comedy that deals with a farmer’s obsession to have his goat mated. However, family trauma, bureaucratic red-tape, a marauding mob conspire to turn a simple journey into a nightmare and force the farmer to confront the painful realities of his life, which he tries so hard to avoid.
