- Synopsis
-
Three female college classmates arrive to help with farm work and to support a peasant movement. Their idealistic view of being a female farmer is confronted with the real alienation effect arising from the tension of being both a woman and a farmer. Furthermore, the Korean-American can FTA is forecasting another set of changes that will transform their lives. The film documents the honest life of these women and the changes they experience.
- Director's Note
-
More than 50% of farmers in Korea are women. The fact that their lives are never exposed became the starting point for this documentary. My intention is to document their hard lives and reframe them as the keepers of this land - the true mothers of this land - who take responsibility in feeding our nation.
