Synopsis
Support for the high school baseball was fraying at the edges and the ground is deserted. There are just a few people in the seats. But the players′ passion for the game knows no measure because this game will affect their fate. Here is one high school baseball team in Gangwon province; this team has been considered weak until now and never been the center of attention. But the baseball is everything to them and the ground is the only world to live on. One game after another, they begin to grow.
Director's Note
I had been studying until 11 PM in high school, but I’d never seen any students of the baseball team in the class. And I’d never cheered for them at the stadium. Even now, I presume that ordinary students only study at their desk all day, and high school baseball players only practice all day in school. What if these young players cannot pass the tryouts for joining the professional team? They will be forced to abandon their dream and their lifetime devotion will end up with nothing as all they know is nothing but playing baseball. Korea won the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and got the second place in the WBC Championship in 2009. How many young players made sacrifices behind these victories? I visited the baseball team in my old school and met young players to hear their story.
