Jero Yun Born in Busan, he studied Art and Cinema in France. His short film Promise was awarded Grand Prize in Asiana ISFF (2011). In 2012, he wrote first feature film (Fiction) in the Cannes Residency. In 2013, he made a documentary Looking for North Koreans which was awarded Honorable Mention prize in Cinema Planeta in Mexico(2013), selected in Hamburg Film Festival (nominated for Best Political Documentary) and Jihlava IDFF (nominated Best Documentary), etc. He co-directed The Pig with Taiwanese director Singing Chen in Omnibus Taipei Factory which was selected in Directors′ Fortnight in Cannes Film Festival 2013, Busan IFF, Hongkong IFF, etc. His last documentary Mrs. B. A North Korean Woman (2016), co-produced by France and South Korea, was selected in Jeonju IFF, ACID Cannes, and awarded Best Documentary in Moscow IFF. His short film Hitchhiker was selected in Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes 2016. Marte Vold Born in Norway, she studied Art and Cinema. As DOP and filmmaker, she made music videos, documentaries, experimentals, fictions, etc. In 2013, she co-directed first feature film Out of Nature with Ole Giæver which was selected in Toronto IFF 2014 and Berlin Panorama section 2015. Her last short film Totem was selected in MoMA New Directors, New Films in 2016. |
