ACF - Asian Cinema Fund

Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) is Busan International Film Festival’s funding initiative that supports feature film projects by Asian filmmakers. Since 2003, documentary projects received support with the Youngsan Fund until the support scale for documentaries greatly expanded in 2006 with the launch of the Asian Network of Documentary (AND) Fund. In 2007, ACF’s support further extended to fiction film projects with the launch of Script Development Fund and the Post-Production Fund. For the last 17 years, ACF has strived to provide the necessary support for diverse Asian filmmakers to realize their unique cinematic visions.

With the current coronavirus pandemic that requires us all to take extra care of our health and safety as well as the recognition that ACF is in need of reevaluating and renovating our overall scheme and our current support methods for Asian filmmakers, ACF has decided to suspend the open call at this time. Therefore, we’d like to ask for your kind understanding that all ACF funds will not be accepting any applications until further notice.

We would like to thank you for your interest and support for ACF. We will work hard to bring you soon a better and improved support program for Asian filmmakers.
