for the past 10 years. His 4th feature film <Foster Child>(2007) was selected at the Directors’ Fortnight of Cannes Film Festival and the following film <Tirador> will be premiered at 2007 Toronto International Film Festival.
Synopsis
The film follows two storylines that converge during the last act. The first story follows, Nanay Flor, owner of a third-class movie house that has become a place where prostitutes and paying customers meet. Nanay Flor and her grandson Jonas go on a trip to La Union to attend the fifth
hearing of a bigamy case filed by Nanay Flor against her husband. The second story follows the family that Nanay Flor leaves behind in that same morning to look after the movie theater.
